For one way draw panels without a center bracket you'll need to go with a traversing rod which is designed so that the support brackets don't interfere with the operation of the panels.

Traversing rods are a type of professional quality drapery hardware available through drapery designers and window covering specialists like us. We offer a number of decorative styles in a wide variety of finishes, all of which can be customized for your particular project. Traversing rods that are non-decorative are also available. Since they are strictly functional you'll want to use a valance, cornice box or other type of top treatment to cover the rod.

we have a 8 foot sliding door. would like to hang drapery and when they are pulled they need to go to the left side. If we use a curtain rod we will need a center bracket for support and that would allow the drapes to be pulled to one side.. what other options are out there to hang drapery that does not need the center bracket for a wall mount?
